Platyplectrum ornatum

Platyplectrum ornatum

Platyplectrum ornatum (Ornate Burrowing Frog)

IUCN Status: Least Concern.

One of the first frogs I shot.

For me, frogs have the most interesting eyes. I couldn't catalogue all the different pupil shaps, but I've seen cross shaped, hotizontal elipse, virtical elipse, and in this case diamond shape.

Amazing, beautiful detail there for all to see, if we just care to.
