Pogona barbata (Eastern Bearded Dragon)

IUCN Status: Least Concern

On the way home from school in a new suburb my wife took a wrong turn, and ended up beside a park. There she saw this beauty being swooped by pesky noisy minors and rushed back to show me. I love it when great subjects and photos show up close to home.

Bearded dragons apparently make great pets. I’m told they have good temperaments and are easy to look after. They eat all the things that you would expect: mice, insects, frogs etc. I hope this one eventually got a taste of noisy minor.
