TAS, Cradle Mountain
A miserable day! The cloud on the mountain was set in, but rolling past, making interesting shapes. So many other shutterbugs came, looked at the scene, looked at me like l was a crazy, then left.
I had seen the clouds hinting at this curl, but it was not well formed and didn’t have the mountain clear in the tube. So I waited….. and waited. Finally this scene appeared! I’d had ample practice in the time waiting for it to get me composition and exposure etc. right.
That was greatest benefit of a week in the mountains to focus on taking photos: time to persist and take chances.
