I really like the simple colourations of these birds. The gold trim around the eye is just so elegant.

Photographing honeyeaters is challenging as they move quickly between flowers never staying still for long. They also tend to stay in the foilage, which makes it difficult to get a shot where the bird is not obscured by leaves or shadows.
