Xanthagrion erythroneurum

Xanthagrion erythroneurum (Red & Blue Damsel)

IUCN Status: Not Assessed

This damselfly is found widely across all of Australia. They are normally extreme skittish and hard to photograph. This individual had just caught a small insect and sat for a while to eat it. That gave me just enough time to get set and take a few shots before he took off on the prowl again.
