Strophurus ciliaris (Northern spiny-tailed gecko)

IUCN Status: Least concern.

While this species is arboreal (lives in trees), this is an interesting pose. He's looking to get away from the fool with the camera and so is preparing to jump.

Their range covers a huge area of central Australia to the coast of northern part of WA. They vary markedly in colouration over that range.
