Anomalopus verreauxii (Three-Clawed Worm-Skink) IUCN Status: Least Concern These elongated skinks are found along the east coast of Australia from central Queensland to northern New South Wales. They typically live in forest and coastal scrub where their snake like bodies are adapted for moving through the ground cover or loose soils. They are also quite abundant in the suburbs, thriving in compost bins, well mulched garden beds and long grass fleeing approaching mowers.
