TAS, Dunalley Beach
Sometimes, I conceive an photograph in my mind fully imagined and in detail. I make an effort to know the location, where the light will be, tides, animal behaviour etc.
That's not what happened here. I was driving to a pelagic bird trip, noticed this amazing scene, and rushed to get gear together, find a composition and shoot. From thought to image in a couple of minutes.
This is a photo I'm immensely happy with. This is how it came straight out of the camera, with a simple crop.
