WA, Storm Front, Derby

We'd been out looking for birds in mangrove near the port. Mark was very happy to see a new bird for him so we were in good spirits. On the way back we saw this storm front moving in and were very excited that it might produce the rain we were desperate for to get some frog activity happening.

This shot is looking over the mub flats on the road back form the port. They get massive (10m plus) tides in the Kimberlys, so at low tide, huge areas of mud flats are exposed.

I shot this as four distinct frames shot at 17mm. Each frame was taken with auto-exposure bracketing of +1,0.-1. So all up there are 12 shots that go into this panorama. Stitching it together took a few tries.
