Gatekers Bay, QLD, AUS

A few days previous the dusk sky lit up in vivid hues of pink and red. I had the photographer’s conflict of wishing I was shooting it while still just enjoying the amazing sight. However it was a catalyst to get out when possible, and shoot sunsets.

Gatekers Bay is a much underrated spot to the immediate north of the more popular Hervey Bay. However this neglect has left it a more natural refuge and I’ve already found birds species I don’t have photos of. I was chasing birds this day, but after the light levels dropped these amazing sun rays appeared, and running out over the rocks I searched for a composition. This!
