Sericornis humilis

Sericornis humilis

Sericornis humilis (Tasmanian Scrubwren)

IUCN Status: Least Concern

Typically this species flit through the understory and ground cover in forests down in Tasmania. Getting a photo of one out in the open is fantastic.

Up at Cradle Mountain I did a side venture up another ridge. I perched myself near a banksia tree and started playing bird calls for various species I’d seen around.

I’m so happy with this shot.
