While they are endmically found throughout central and western Australia, escapees from averies have also colonised eastern costal areas as well. Now they roam feeding in grasslands in hude flocks. As such, they are often considered pests.
This was shot in a park in Gympie, QLD. There must have been around a hundred birds feeding on the grass, facinating our very young son.
