Eopsaltria australis chrysorrhos (Eastern Yellow Robin) IUCN Status: Least Concern Sometimes the shot you want isn’t the shot you get. Sometimes, if you’re lucky, you get a better shot. I was trying for photos of variegated fairywrens, but as has been to be the case over the last few attempts, they proved too aloof to achieve an image worthy of publishing. However, these beautiful robins did oblige.
Playing their songs and calls brought multiple curious individuals in to investigate. None showed the same boldness other robin species have shown. However they did provide a couple of fleeting opportunities and a few beautiful images.
