Haliastur sphenurus (Whistling Kite) IUCN Status: Least Concern I don't often shoot backlit. Most of the time I'm looking 190 degrees away form the sun for animals in good light. Sometimes though, the shot is just too good, too obvious. Walking between locations a kite landed on this dead tree, and I barley had to move to take this shot.
