Imagine this: There's been heavy rain and you're hopeful that you'll find some frogs out calling. When you get to the target creek, you find it very swallen and blocking and serious exploration. No frogs seen or heard.... but you notice a large dragonfly perched hanging over the creek for the night.
You think you can relocate it and still get an id shot or better to redeem the night. When you gently tug on it, it wont come. Your night vision is limited because you accidentally blinded yourself with your headlamp a while back. You look down and see in your hand not just the dragonfly but a huge huntsman. You feel the dragonfly twitch in your hand as the spider eats it alive.
It's great to be in the bush on your own late at night.
