Daption capense australe

Daption capense australe (Cape Petrel - Snares)

IUCN Status: Least Concern

To see these cute little birds, you'll need to head out near to continental shelf. They live at sea, only coming to land to breed. This race does this on the New Zealand subantarctic islands. Snares Cape Petrels can be identified by the more discrete patches of white and dark.
