Taeniopygia guttata castanotis

Taeniopygia guttata castanotis (Zebra Finch)

IUCN Status: Least Concern

Zebra finches are found throughout Australia, Indonesia and East Timor. This is the Australian subspecies. They are typically found inland, generally coming to coastal area during drought. They are considered the most common inland finch.

I‘m very fond of the way the branch snakes through the shot.
