Larus pacificus georgii (Pacific Gull) IUCN Status: Least Concern Pacific gull is Australia’s largest gull, clearly distinguishable from the smaller, more common silver gull. It has a heavier build, and a distinctive beak shape and colour.
Behaviourally I’ve not noticed the same “Give us a chip!” attitude that silver gulls have when interacting with humans. However I’ve only seen one of the eastern race. The west coast race are probably cads.
